My next step for learning is to learn more complicated things. This will be easier because im going to High school.

Im looking forward to high school and making more friends.
New Zealand track cyclist Aaron Gate turned to TV cameras and apologised to the nation for crashing in the bronze medal team race in Tokyo. He clipped his teammates wheel and fell off. He broke his colour bone. Do you think it was his fault and he should take the blame. I think It was not his fault.
Because it is the start of the term, we have started a new writing challenge. Every week we have a random topic. We write a well constructed and descriptive paragraph about this topic. We have a one week deadline.
This weeks English topic has been poetry. This was my favourite poem out of all the ones we read, mainly because it was about cricket. The other reason I liked this one was because I find it funny and enjoyably to read.
This week was book week. We got to dress up in our book character costume. I dressed as Mario. It was really embarrassing because I had to stand up in front of the whole school. Other than that it was really fun.
After 20 years the FDA has approved of a new drug that treats Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is a disease that effects memory. It often is a result of old age. I feel that this drug is a good idea. Alzheimer's hasn't been treatable for years.
For reading we have been looking at myths. We have looked at different cultures and how they believe fire was created. I made a storyboard showing a little bit of the myth the Maori people belived.
For our maths we have been looking at area and perimeter. I have done some research and found out lots of ways to create a rectangle with an area of 24cm2.
Part of our maths study was about perimeter and area. We made a jamboard about the worlds largest lasagna. We did some calculations and discoverd the area. We also estimated how many people this could feed.
This is our classroom. We have messured the room and all the furniture in it. We created a scale drawring on jamboard. We did this because our current study is about area and perimeter. The classroom seems bigger than I thought it was.
One of the tasks for our Hanmer study was to choose a complicated word that relates to Hanmer and explain it. I choose to do Geothermal.
To do this we drew around our hand and got pipe cleaners. We used the pipe cleaners to messure the perimeter of our hand. My pipe cleaner was 25 centimeters long. I went around my hand 3 and a bit times which gave me the total of 83.5cm.
For Grey Main School camp this year, T2 and T3 are going to be going to Hanmer Springs. We will participate in many different activities such as Mountain Biking, Orienteering and two nights swimming at the pools.
